The Bay of Fundy has been used for a long time as a source of tidal power generation, however it has had it's problems. There have been complaints about interference with marine life and tidal erosion due to these underwater turbines. However a new design addresses all of these problems while allowing for a greater volume of production. Like all new designs, it is not without it's problems...
