It's not a hand bag, or a scarf, it is a piece of technology, not a fashion accessory to be replaced every year. Continue reading to find out why.

How about a cell phone made from recycled cell phones?
Not like in a Frankenstein's monster-type way...but the same way a lot of products you buy have the "This product made from 10% post-consumer content" label...do a similar thing with cell phones. Or really all technology could do it. They all use the same materials. "This high-tech gizmo is made from 65% post-consumer junk from last year's high tech gizmos".
Could happen.

Yea, good point. I have noticed that a few companies, i think Fido and possibly Virgin, are beginning to do that. I do kind of take issue with the way it's marketed however. Yes it's a good idea, but really it seems like something that should have always been done. They market it as an eco-friendly phone that is "green" and so on, but then you look at the fine print and the percentage of recycled material can be as low as 15%. I guess I just hate marketing in general, I don't know. Overall it's great though.

The very first phone I ever owned was 100% recycled. Two old cans and an old piece of string.

I dont remember where I saw this, or I would share a link. But a few months ago I came across a "new" phone that was sold in Japan that looked like it was made from wood. Has anybody else seen this, or know what I'm talking about?
